If you’re looking for a super unique gift for the next shower you have to attend that not only will the recipient be grateful for but that you know will actually get used? You’ve got to check out the cakes offered by Tender Moments LLC and we’re not talking ice cream cakes! When I came across these cute creations I knew I had to share them with you all. I caught up with April who is the owner and creator to pick her brain about her unique business venture!
Q: I have never heard of diaper cakes or towel cakes before coming across your site! How did you come up with such a cute and unique idea?
A: I attended a baby shower several years ago and one of the guests gave the Mom-to-be a Diaper “Cake” as a gift. As a “crafty” person I was totally enamored and made it up in my mind that would be my next “project” .
The T.M. Towel “Cake” was “birthed” from a custom request from a customer (who had previously ordered a Diaper Cake from me) to make something special for a Wedding gift for one of her closest friends.
Q: Do you offer custom “cake” requests as well? If so what is the most unusual request you have had?
A: Yes, I do offer custom “cake” requests. The most unusual request was for a “Sock Cake” using men’s athletic socks. The final product was super cute! I designed it around an “MVP” theme and featured 12 men’s athletic socks and football, baseball, and basketball embellishments.
Q: Do you or would you offer both cloth and disposable diaper cakes?
A: Yes, our standard Diaper Cakes are made with Disposable Diapers (Pampers Swaddlers). In addition, our Eco-LoveTM Collection features diaper wreaths and diapers cakes made with Cloth Diapers. We also offer an option for Chlorine-Free Seventh Generation [disposable] Diapers.
